2Summary: This file contains unpublished and published annual data on labor composition for U.S. industries classified according to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS).

4Tabs: The "Data" tab is in flat-file format; it includes a row for each unique data record. The "Chart" tab features an interactive chart, where different industry selections can be made through the sliders. At the bottom, the tab includes a view of the charted data, long term growth rates, and the standard deviation of the whole time-series.

6Data Structure: The data are described using three fields: Methodology, Industry, and Year. Each methodology is described as follows:
7• ACS - This is labor composition calculated using just the ACS survey data. This excludes the small area estimation and matrix balancing steps of the proposed methodology. This can be compared with the "Shared" methodology to see the impacts of the adjustments.
8• BEA - This is labor composition calculated using BEA's current methodology from the Integrated Industry-Level Production Accounts (ILPA).
9• BLS - This is labor composition calculated using BLS's current methodology from the Division of Major Sector Productivity (DMSP).
10• Shared - This is labor composition calculated using the proposed shared methodology.

12How to Use the Interactive Chart:
13• The "Chart" tab has three filters, located to the right of the chart.
14o Use the Industry filter to choose from a list of industries.
15o Use the IndustryDigit filter to choose a level of NAICS industry detail.
16o Use the Methodology field to choose data for specific methodologies. All four methodologies are charted by default.
